Olivia Rose Barresi is an actor, singer and theatre artist originally from the Tri-State area. She studied theatre and music from an early age and did so throughout her youth, culminating in what was assuredly the highlight of her teenaged performance career: playing Miss Hannigan in a high school production of Annie. Afterwards, she earned her B.F.A. in theatre arts at Boston University’s C.F.A. School of Theatre, concentrating in acting and dramaturgy. After closing out her time at B.U. performing at Boston Playwrights' Theatre (Wittenberg) and on the Common with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (Cymbeline), she moved back to the Tri-State and in to New York City. She performed with a wide variety of people and companies there, both off and off-off Broadway - some favorite recent roles there being Bertram in All’s Well That End’s Well (Mad & Merry), Gerry Hansen in Censored On Final Approach (The Gym at Judson, IVP), and Kaitlyn in Panic At the Riverside Motel (Stage IV Theatre, Maria Riboli and John Pastore). She decided to go back to school in the Fall of 2014, and moved herself to the U.K. to work towards her master’s degree in classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Having earned her LAMDA degree this past September, she’s moved back home to New York City to jump in to her acting career all over again.
When she’s not acting, studying or running around the city, Olivia can be found ice skating, essay writing, listening to Kay Thompson and William Byrd, reading the Pearl Poet at her closest NYPL branch, and learning how to drive (still), amongst other things.
